The Beeman P1 is a result of close co-operation between American designers and German manufacturers - it's simply one of the finest, most innovative and exciting air pistols in years. One of the most exciting features of the new Beeman P1 is the dual-power capability. At only 11 inches long, the compact size of the air pistol is remarkable considering its power output.

To achieve the dual power feature, the Beeman P-1 has two distinct cocking positions. In the .177 caliber, low power is about 480 fps and high power is about 600 fps. The .20 caliber P1 has a low power setting of about 420 fps and high power output of about 500 fps. The lower power setting is safer for shooting in an indoor range, while the higher power setting is much appreciated for hunting and long-range targets. Either cocking point is reached with a single cocking stroke. The full-power stroke for the Beeman P-1 air pistol requires a total of just 18 lbs of cocking effort. To cock the Beeman P1 air pistol, the shooter pulls the simulated hammer back to release the cocking arm. Beeman P1 air pistols have a top cocking arm that swings forward; the low power setting is reached when the cocking arm is at a right angle to the frame. Pull the cocking arm as far as it will go, and the high power setting is achieved.

To make the powerful Beeman air pistols accurate, they started with a precision 12-groove rifled steel barrel. The cocking arm, the barrel, both sights and the scope grooves are locked together in a single unit. The Beeman P1 design also exposes the breech end of the barrel when the cocking arm is lifted, allowing direct and precise loading. There is also a deep muzzle recess to protect the critical crown area of the barrel. The Beeman P1 Air Pistol has an ambidextrous manual trigger-lock safety.

The Beeman P1 spring-piston power plant, barrel, and all other critical parts are made of the finest gun steel. The frame of Beeman P1's is anodized, high tensile, aircraft aluminum with a black, semi-matte finish. The two-stage Beeman trigger is adjustable from the 28 oz. factory setting. The wide trigger blade has a grooved surface that makes the trigger pull feel extra light and gives a smooth, controlled feel when firing the air pistol - so necessary for controlled let off.

A fixed front post sight and square notch firearm grade rear sight assembly which has micrometer windage and elevation adjustments is standard on the Beeman P1 Air Pistil. For extra precision and ease of shooting, a quality airgun scope can be mounted on the 11 mm scope grooves that are built in.

The comfortable ambidextrous grips are select grade walnut with genuine hand-cut checkering. The Beeman P-1 pistol grip and trigger areas are sized to fit just about any Colt 1911A .45 Auto grips available today; this makes it easy for airgun shooters to maintain the feel of their firearm while training inexpensively with the Beeman P1. Airgunners can be confident that this air pistol will present a reliable measure of their marksmanship skills while training.
